smile you can hear through the telephone

but she's way too sentimental - - -
Her phone was constantly dinging as she stood in the shower, letting the hot water run down her skin. She was too busy humming to herself as she shampooed and conditioned her brown hair. She knew her friends were blowing up her phone, talking about outfits, makeup, the alcohol they were sneaking into the concert at the park but she didn't really care to respond to the messages upon messages and instead took her sweet time in the hot shower. After around fifteen minutes, RoRo shut off the water and grabbed a towel before drying off her hair lazily and wrapping it around her body. She glanced at her phone, scrolling through the messages and chuckling and rolling her eyes at her friends. How she managed to be friends with the three other girls was definitely constantly questioned. Compared to them, Rogue was rather unique and quite down to earth. She never fretted about what clothes she would wear or how she would style her hair or makeup. There was nothing wrong with enjoying those sort of things, she just never really found herself interested too much in them. But the girls were fun to be around and she could always rely on someone bringing alcohol and they could be quite entertaining.
Rogue waltzed into her room and glanced at the alarm clock next to her bed. 5:31 pm, she read, still enough time to get ready and head to the park for the big concert tonight. She grabbed a pair off her black jeans that had a couple of worn tears in them and her Guns N' Roses t-shirt. Staring at her closet, she frowned, not really knowing what shoes to wear before just deciding on her comfy pair of black Adidas and quickly ran her fingers through her tangled wavy hair, shrugging and deciding it would just have to do. As she reached the front door of her apartment, she grabbed her jean jacket and keys before heading out.
She reached the bottom floor of her apartment complex before she was ambushed by three girls squealing. Angie, the cute red head of the group with adorable freckles and green eyes, was currently squeezing RoRo to death. "Damn girl, we just saw each other the other day, have you been hitting the gym since then?" RoRo asked, chuckling breathlessly before the girl finally let go of her tight grip on her. Angie grinned like a fool, pretending to show off her so-called "guns of steel arms".
"She pre-gamed before we could even pre-game," Trina whined. Trina, the tallest out of the four standing at 5'9, with beautiful straight blonde hair and dark brown eyes, closed the distance between herself and RoRo, embracing her into yet another breathless hug. "Took you long enough, RoRo," she said, teasing.
And last, but of course not least, was Ava, another beautiful blonde but who was slightly shorter than RoRo and with captivating blue eyes. Out of all of the girls, RoRo and Ava definitely had the closest relationship. They shared a lot of similarities, but Ava tended to rather pretend to blend in with other girls to fit in with the standards her parents had put on her since she was a child. Ava pulled her into a hug as well and whispered in her ear: "You look hot Alycia." RoRo tensed at the use of her birth-given name, but put on an easy-going smile when Ava pulled away to look at her. "You look good too, Ava, as always," she replied, before glancing back at the other two girls. "Now, who's got the booze?"- - - - - - - - -
The rock concert was in full force, plenty of small rock bands had played their sets and come and go. RoRo was feeling pretty buzzed at the moment from the alcohol they had consumed before making their way to the park. They had made their way to the middle of the crowd and RoRo found herself with her eyes closed and hands in the air, belting out the lyrics to Carry on Wayward Son and dancing to the beat. It was in these moments that she felt the most free and happy. She suddenly felt a pair of eyes watching her and as RoRo opened her eyes and turned her head to the side, she was greeted by a pair of dark brown eyes and easy-going smile. She felt her cheeks flush slightly and she quickly returned the easy-going smile. It was then that she noticed the man start to make his way towards her through the crowd. They were only a couple feet apart once he had stopped and RoRo still found herself smiling up at him. She was about to say something when someone bumped her from behind, pushing her into him. A loud OOF escaped her lips as she smacked right into mystery man in front of her. His hands caught her easily as she now full on blushed. RoRo always sucked at first impressions but always tried to play it off by a false sense of confidence. She smiled sheepishly up at him. "Uh... hi. I'm RoRo."notes// uhhhh yeah kinda rushed the ending lmao so rusty
